Our culture seems to have forgotten this fundamental principle of community.  It&#039;s important to start reusing not just our possessions, but our heritage as humans.

I&#039;m sure your readers can think of hundreds of similar strategies that have gone out of style in the last couple of generations.  A few come to mind right now:
frugality and making do,
repairing rather than replacing, and 
relying on friends, not businesses, for entertainment.

Convenient that these complement our collective belt-tightening through these hard times.
